Shania Twain was born Eilleen Regina Edwards on August 28, 1965, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She was the second of three daughters born to Sharon and Clarence Edwards. Her parents divorced when she was two, and she and her sisters were raised by their mother and stepfather, Jerry Twain, an Ojibwa from the nearby reserve.
